The UL Listed Dry Barrel Fire Hydrant ( HHY) maintains the water above the ground, the operating Nut at the top will allow the water to reach the top, and once closed, the water gets drained. The Dry Barrel Fire Hydrant besides being suitable for Cold weather areas, its mechanism prevents water to get wasted in case it’s hit by a car, the opposite of what a Wet Barrel Fire Hydrant may cause.
